Planning on camping? We love these wine gadgets for the outdoors!
One of our passions besides wine is the great outdoors and camping is high within that list. In addition to national parks, we’ve camped at three different vineyards in the past year. Check out Hipcamp to locate affordable and unique camping spots near you; maybe you’ll be lucky enough to find a spot on the vines!
Whether you’re camping or glamping, you’ll probably want a great bottle to enjoy the stars. We recommend the following wine gadgets to accompany your trip:
Note: the following items may be affiliate links with amazon.com – that means if you purchase through our links, you’ll also be supporting your favorite wine blog; same price as purchasing straight through Amazon.
1. Chevalier aerating wine glasses – $30 for 2 pack.

You know what’s not camping-friendly? Beautiful, brittle glass stemware. On the other end of the spectrum are cheap plastic red solo cups or metallic travel mugs; neither of which are ideal for picking up subtle aromas in wine.
Luckily, there is a happy medium in these aerating wine glasses from Chevalier. We were a bit skeptical at first as it seems gimmicky, but we actually ended up loving them and noticed a huge difference when blind tasting versus a non-aerating glass. The company also makes glass versions, but when camping, we recommend the shatter-proof version provided in the link.
2. Wine Angel travel bubble bags – $20 for 4 pack
Picture this – you tuck away your favorite bottle for the camping trip, only to find it hours later smashed underneath the weight of all the other gear. Noooooooo!
These bubble bags are a lifesaver, and we’ve used them not only for protection while packing the car and gear, but also in suitcases when bringing bottles back from trips abroad. We brought back 16 bottles from Burgundy and all came back in perfect condition!
3. Kelty Love Seat – $149

Highly portable, comfortable and stylish. We love this 2-seater that comes with cupholders and folds up nice and compact. Perfect for enjoying a glass by the fire with your camping mate & partner in wine.
4. Monopole Ah-So wine opener – $28
Ever heard of an Ah-So? It’s ok if not — they are not very common. Normally used for rescuing corks that have deteriorated over time, they can also be used as the main opener device. The opener is very slim and can be tucked away in any camping backpack to cut down on weight.
5. Apollo Walker Picnic Backpack – $60
There are few flexes stronger than pulling out one of these bad boys on a hike. Perfect for bringing a charcuterie board on the go but also great for organizing platewear, which can get unorganized quickly when camping.
Where to go camping on a vineyard
One of our favorite things in the world is camping amongst the vines. We found a great place in the Willamette Valley – check out our guide for more!
