Use our map to find the best wineries around the world. Every recommendation has been personally visited and tasted. While a beautiful tasting room and experience is a plus, we focus primarily on how the wine tastes, smells and makes us feel.
For bigger, bolder type wines, look for warmer climates like California (Napa Valley, Paso Robles), Australia (Barossa, Margaret River) or South Africa (Stellenbosch, Swartland).
For lighter-bodied wines, see cooler regions on the coast or most places in Europe like Burgundy, Mosel and Barolo.
This is very subjective, but we have our favorites! In no particular order, we love: Burgundy in France, Martinborough in New Zealand, Hemel-en-aarde in South Africa, Santa Rita Hills in California, Rioja in Spain, Uco Valley in Argentina, Margaret River in Australia.
