About Wine Scribes
Wine Scribes is a global wine and travel guide that focuses on small-batch producers; a collection of personal experiences from traveling to nearly every wine region in the world. Started by Jesse and Cassie in 2019, Wine Scribes aims to help the wine community by highlighting hard-to-discover boutique winemakers, as well as provide a marketing spotlight for smaller producers who are making wine slowly by hand.
Cassie earned her WSET-2 certification with distinction from the Napa Valley Wine Academy and has spent time studying food and wine in Italy.
Jesse is a winemaker with a Oenology and Viticulture degree from UC Davis. He has worked at four wineries across three continents including Yarra Valley, Burgundy, Santa Cruz in California and Columbia Gorge in Washington. Jesse and Cassie are now producing wine under their own private label, Vespera Cellars.
The best wine blog
After booking trips to various grape growing regions around the world, there appeared to be a lack of good information online about how to build the perfect tasting experience.
Sure, there is a ton of info about large producers and great shots for Instagram, but not a lot about what matters most: the small batch producers who are making the best wine; alas, the genesis of the best wine and travel blog.
Jesse and Cassie have visited every major wine region (and many smaller ones too). Thus, they use their travels, knowledge and experiences to educate and help the wine community grow.
